Watch our Video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRCamFHizK4 Frankincense Essential Oil (Boswellia carterii), has an aromatic profile that is robust with sweet, deep resinous notes. Its fragrance is soothing and brings comfort and ease both physically and psychologically. Found in Somalia, the essential oil is distilled from the crude gum of the tree and has been widely researched for its medicinal actions and Aromatherapeutic applications. When the tree is pierced, it releases its aromatic resin which forms droplets known as ‘tears” or “pearls” as they harden. When I think of an oil that is soothing to the mind body and spirit, frankincense is on the top of the list. Frankincense is healing for the psyche. It is restorative, grounding, euphoric and an antidepressant. It aids with mental fatigue, lessens nervousness and anxiety, stress, insomnia, restlessness; and is an overall nervine*. It relieves both physical and emotional pain. It is a soothing and comforting oil to have in times of grief and sadness and to create feelings of peace and serenity. It also has many therapeutic uses such as helping with colds, bronchitis, nervous asthma, skin conditions, scars, wounds, soothes sore muscles, eases discomfort, and releases tension. Applied topically, it is rejuvenating to the skin and the joints*. Here are a few of my favorite Frankincense recipes… Night time Respiratory support– Diffuse a few drops of each: Frankincense, Eucalyptus, lavender. Grounding & meditation- Diffuse a few drops of each: Frankincense, Atlas Cedarwood, helichrysum Soothing and Balancing Massage Blend- In a 1oz Amber dropper bottle blend 1oz carrier oil + 6 drops Frankincense + 4 drops Lavender  + 2 drops Geranium  Joint Comfort- A warming blend to soothe arthritis and inflammation in the joints. In a 1oz Amber dropper bottle blend 1 oz Carrier oil + 8 drops Frankincense, 3 drops Orange, 4 drops Ginger,  5 drops Tumeric “What is this coming up from the wilderness like columns of smoke, Perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, With all the fragrant powders of a merchant?” – Song of Solomon 3:6 *Aromatherapy is a Complimentary Alternative Medicine (CAM) and is not used by any form to replace medical care if necessary.
